Has anyone had a problem after adjusting the Remington 700 trigger overtravel screw that the screw sticks out far enough to gouge the stock material in front of it? I seem to have this problem in 300 ultra mag with a factory synthetic stock after adjusting overtravel to where I want it.

Need to make a correction. The screw is not the overtravel screw but rather the spring tension (weight of pull) screw on the bottom front of the trigger housing (1st post was from memory; this post is after I took the stock off again).

I've faced it with a couple different 700's. I generally fire up the Dremel with a end mill bit and make a groove to allow plenty of room. A rat tail file will do the same...........
