I was just thinking it would be pretty awesome if I could modify my .416 m70 to accept detachable box mags. I like the way it works with my AR15, though in a dangerous game caliber it should probably be a little more difficult to accidentally spit out the magazine. Anything? Anybody ever? I have a Model 70 in 270Win. that has a factory detachable box magazine. They make them or at one time did make them. The only easy day is yesterday!

Go high end, whatever you pick. Feeding may be more of a problem with your "kicker" than keeping the box tight. (Bet you are talking custom there.) _______________________

That's freakin' awesome, thank you! My google skills really do suck. I don't know why. I need to take a class or something.

Looks like they don't make mags long enough for 416 rem (3.6" rounds), just the 3.34" standard length variety. You might call and ask to be sure. Matt Matt FISH!! Heed the words of Winston Smith in Orwell's 1984: "Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right."
