I have a gun I want to turn into a 270 ackley, are there any good companies any of youn deal with who do this on a regular basis? Thank you | ||

Call Greg Tannel (www.gtrtooling.com) at (970) 353-6176 (Colorado). He has a .270 Improved reamer. BTW: I don't think there was ever a .270 Ackley per se (I might be wrong) so any .270 "Ackley" will necessarily be giving the Ackley name to the cartridge, even though P.O. himself did not actually wildcat that cartridge. (Again, I may be wrong, but don't think so.) Call Greg and ask him about his reamer specs. I liked my .270 Ackley while I had it. It was built on a HVA small ring mauser and was very accurate.
