I've been browsing some websites looking for stock blanks, and noticed 'Richards Microfit' from CA. They have a piece of English that should fit my needs, but it's kind of hard to buy sight unseen. Have any of you fellows bought from them? Their prices seem very reasonable, but I'd hate to spend a couple of hundred dollars on a piece of firewood...any recommendations?

I bought a semi-fancy stock from them and was extremely pleased with the color, grain, and figure of the wood. The wood they provided exceeded my expectations.

I once had R. Fajen send me an AAA-grade Myrtle wood blank on approval. It was a beautiful blank, so I sent the barrelled action back to them along with the blank, and had them make the stock from it.
