Do the AII-AIV series share the same barrel threads with the 75-85 series and or theL57/61’s Life's too short to hunt with ugly guns

I'm amazed somone hasn't piped up about this by now, considering hundreds have looked at the thread. Would I be wrong in expecting the L61R and AIII to have the same thread?

I would just measure them; no one should be threading a barrel without having the action on hand.

Might be he's buying a used barrel to fit his action? Jim Kobe 10841 Oxborough Ave So Bloomington MN 55437 952.884.6031 Former Professional member American Custom Gunmakers Guild

Long actions: A few very early L61R's had a one-inch rather than 1 1/16" shank, but otherwise they're all the same up through at least the L691. Medium actions: The original L57 used an unusual thread (can't recall it's exact dimensions, but the Frank de Haas book Bolt Action Rifles has it listed. The L579's and AII's were identical, but the successor M591 was larger in diameter, IIRC. Short actions: L46, L461, and AI the same. S491 larger.
