I picked up a Custom Rifle in 264 Win Mag this weekend at the Pasadena gun show. The only markings are on the barrel with the caliber. And a headstamp of "R E" on the action. The stock appears to be aftermarket of somesort. Any help would be appreciated. I will post more pics tommorrow when I find the camera.

It looks like a enfield from the shape or the trigger guard and what I can make out of the bolt handle and reciever and looks like a enfield safety. Maybe a Rem. M30

Id take that stock off real quick Big Grin Big Grin

harry lawson thumbhole stock, looks like an enfield/rem model 30 action. I think I looked at this one at the HGCS ... A close up from the right hand side of the rear bridge, and the TOP of the action would let us know.

excellent candidate for an AR round, and if you like thumbholes, you can leave it that way.

It's hard to tell from your blurry pics, but, if it has RE in side a circle on the reciever ring, it is a P14 Enfield of remington manufacture.
