Was wondering if someone has used a component like this to create a combined scope ring base/forend screwblock for a falling block rifle.
My mental picture would be to have an integral squarebridge on the action, and the forward base made with a similar component as pictured.

I dont like it when people dovetail barrels to put a screwblock in. Thought this idea would avoid that and still be cheaper than getting everything made integral.
If someone was up to the task,the barrel could be appropriately turned and the unit threaded on.
