I came into a bunch of long guns (nothing of any real value) in various stages of operation, missing parts, etc. I'm considering sending some of the unwanted ones to gun parts corp. I'm curious if anyone has done that and how everything worked out.

This is experience from several years ago. I sent a bunch of parts to them....took them a few months to send me a check. I think it was a bit low, but I really didn't want the parts back so I took it. Except for the time it took, I was pretty happy with the deal. Might work different with a complete firearm though. Make sure of their policy of returning the firearms directly to you, and not making you go through a dealer, if the deal is not up to your satisfaction.

I sent them a bunch of parts years ago. They sent me a check. They paid pennies on the dollar but I didn't want the parts back so I agreed and cashed it. I believe I had the check within a couple of weeks. Depends on what you have, but maybe you'd be better off selling the parts yourself on the internet.

Places like Sarco and Numrich don’t pay much for parts-guns since they have to figure in their cost of stripping them down, sorting them out, and storing them. They buy box cars full of parts and old rifles at a time and unless it is something special they won’t spend much cash on them.

What have you got? Maybe some guys on here would take some of them off your hands.
