Looking for info on the Remington made 03A3.

Especially if there are any problems to be aware of. Or any unique tidbits of info. I know that they were made during WWII.

The one I have was a sporterized and not too bad of job.
The dang thing wouldn't shoot better than 4-5 inch groups with the original barrel so I rebarreled to 338-06.

I have springfields from 257 roberts, 30-06, 300 win, 358 win, had a 257x300wsm, and now rebarrel that one to 416 AR...

the 1903a3... it's rougher than the 1903, can use a 1903 bottom metal, and the peep shight is GREAT, imho. timney makes a safety and non-safety trigger for them... if it's more or less milsurp, it needs a new spring.. not perhaps a heavy one, but it doesn need a new one
