I believe this is Ruger's threads. Are their any other actions that use this? Or any actions for which I could rethread w/o cutting off the existing threads?

Rugers are 1" x 16. The thread you have will fit Weatherby Mark 5..Ed.

Thanks Ed.
Is there an easy place to find this info? On the web, perhaps?

If Wby Mk5, then Rem 700, right?

And Turk Mauser?

This is from an old post RIP made back in Jan:

Pre-64 M70 = 1.00"-16 tpi

Rem. M700 = 1.06-16

Wby Mark V = 1.06-16

Win. M70 1968 version = 1.0"-16 tpi

BBK-02 = 1.10-12

Ruger M77 Mk I and Mk II = 1.000"-16 tpi (UN)

M98 = 1.10-12 (UN)?

CZ 550 = 1.10-12.7 (UN)?

Not sure where he got it from. RIP?

There is no Mauser of that size in the book. And book shows
Remington as 1.050, a little smaller. Would the gunsmiths here let us know for sure, as I have never measured Rem,
and book could be wrong, and maybe RIP has measured them.
Interesting to find out.Ed.
