Bwana-be1 1/16 x 16 threads - what action?
I believe this is Ruger's threads. Are their any other actions that use this? Or any actions for which I could rethread w/o cutting off the existing threads?

GrandpasezRugers are 1" x 16. The thread you have will fit Weatherby Mark 5..Ed.

Bwana-beIf Wby Mk5, then Rem 700, right?
And Turk Mauser?
This is from an old post RIP made back in Jan:
Pre-64 M70 = 1.00"-16 tpi
Rem. M700 = 1.06-16
Wby Mark V = 1.06-16
Win. M70 1968 version = 1.0"-16 tpi
BBK-02 = 1.10-12
Ruger M77 Mk I and Mk II = 1.000"-16 tpi (UN)
M98 = 1.10-12 (UN)?
CZ 550 = 1.10-12.7 (UN)?
Not sure where he got it from. RIP?

GrandpasezThere is no Mauser of that size in the book.And book shows
Remington as 1.050, a little smaller. Would the gunsmiths here let us know for sure, as I have never measured Rem,
and book could be wrong, and maybe RIP has measured them.
Interesting to find out.Ed.
