Came in the mail today. A very nice piece IMO. Scrollcutter should give some thought to making some of these up and have them ready to go Terry -------------------------------------------- Well, other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

Thats beautiful work, but I have one question: Are most custom bolt handles engraved before welding to the bolt body?

I think that most are, Brian. Butch

The tear drops are nice. I've got two with the drops and wanted to try something different. I believe most are engraved before they're installed. I read where Roger Kehr prefers to do this way. Terry, How sharp is the checkering on that handle? Any issues with it grabbing on gloves or tearing hide when you work the bolt quickly? I've never handled a checkered bolt (that shallow crap on my Remingtons doesn't count) and always wondered. Greg

When you grab it you can feel the texture, but it isn't sharp. I don't think you could tear a pair of gloves with it even if you were trying to. Terry -------------------------------------------- Well, other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

TC1, i have a couple myself. Jerome does very good work with his chissel and hammer!!!! Glad you like yours! " If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand which feeds you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countryman " Samuel Adams, 1772

Terry- Very nice, I have two Glimm bolt handles myself. I really like them. What masterpiece is the beauty going on? May the wind be in your face and the sun at your back. P. Mark Stark
