Came in the mail today. A very nice piece IMO.
Scrollcutter should give some thought to making some of these up and have them ready to go

aleaddictThats beautiful work, but I have one question:
Are most custom bolt handles engraved
before welding to the bolt body?

butchlambertI think that most are, Brian.

TC1The tear drops are nice. I've got two with the drops and wanted to try something different.
I believe most are engraved before they're installed. I read where Roger Kehr prefers to do this way.

gzig5Terry,
How sharp is the checkering on that handle? Any issues with it grabbing on gloves or tearing hide when you work the bolt quickly? I've never handled a checkered bolt (that shallow crap on my Remingtons doesn't count) and always wondered.

When you grab it you can feel the texture, but it isn't sharp. I don't think you could tear a pair of gloves with it even if you were trying to.

Very nice, I have two Glimm bolt handles myself. I really like them.
What masterpiece is the beauty going on?
