He could. The stub should not stick up much, just enough to cut a couple small keyways so you can tighten it like a shotgun choke tube. Not so high so you can get in close with the mill to drill the hole(s). | |||

There is an alignment tool you can use when switching barrels if the pin idea does not work. The tool is $25 and found at Midway. It works real easy. | |||
