Pinning a Rem lug?
I know why it's done, I don't know how.

Can someone give me some information on the process??

Thanks.

Jim

Thanks Westpac,

I missed that thread.

Could "bubba" Jim cut the back off a rem barrel I have laying around to make the threaded insert to hold and drill the lug??

He could. The stub should not stick up much, just enough to cut a couple small keyways so you can tighten it like a shotgun choke tube. Not so high so you can get in close with the mill to drill the hole(s).

There is an alignment tool you can use when switching barrels if the pin idea does not work. The tool is $25 and found at Midway. It works real easy.

Thanks Dwight,

I kinda had my heart set on pinning this one. Big Grin

But if it doesn't work out that will be the next thing to try.
