that we were all talking about a few months ago...Caswell(sp?)??

Just wondering how it worked, if anybody got one, or purchased one elsewhere.

it was the "black oxide" kit...

and i sure did.. works great, especially with ambient temp over 70....

looks very close to the hotwater rust blue in finish, and about 1/5 the work, after you clean/polish/degrease (which you have to do in both)

If this is the free sample kit you are talking about, they emailed me with a "we aren't doing this anymore, our kits are for commercial use" even though I referenced the offer on the site. Win a few lose a few, guess they had too many responses from us.

Cal30,
the free black oxide kit was to have been from http://www.black-oxide.com, made by epi, or http://www.epi.com. and the one i bought from caswell would be from http://www.caswellplating.com/

a quick search for "black oxide" would give you all the details
