NakihunterForesight bead for CZ 550
My CZ 416 Rigby has a foresight bead with a bit of white paint on it.
I find it too small and not very visible. Is there a replacement brass bead in the market?
Or, would it be ok to just solder on a brass bead?
Should I make the bead mat finish or flatten the front at an angle & file some cross lines on it to eliminate glare but show in low light?
I would appreciate any suggestions.
I have a QD mounts with a VX3 1.5-5X 30mm illuminated scope. However I want to have reliable open sights in case I need to use them.

timg953I ordered a fiber optic from brownell's and it is much more visible than the original factory bead. I would either use gold, fiber optic or a larger white bead. Necg makes all of these. Brass will tarnish and not reflect the light as well as any of the above mentioned materials.

4-5-0+1 on contacting NECG (just google). I'd talk to the staff either Mark or Todd. They also make a screw on receiver sight for cz's. Make sure your gun feeds well with the bolt worked fast if it Isn't one of the custom shop models it may need some touching up. Good to see you are doing all your prep for the Omay next year.

NakihunterThanks Jeff
Yes I need them to be reliable. My original fore sight is 5 mm height & the minimum from NECG is 6 mm.
Wayne Jacobson from AHR has very kindly agreed to sell me the NECG fore sight but as a free service he is also sending me 5 different height CZ rear sights that he takes off the various rifles he upgrades.
So I will fit the new white fore sight and check POI. Based on that I will change the rear sigh to a higher one & then file the "V" notch as required.
