| I have a brand new in the box PSS. I used the stoney point OAL gauge on seirra 168 match kings and was supprised to find out that I can't seat the bullets out to touch the lands and still keep a bullets diameter in the case neck. Should I take it to a smith and have him cut a thread and try again? This is a new gun and I have never had a problem like this. BTW the OAL to touch the lands is 2.945. |

| Thanks for the replies. I didn't want to shoot it if it wasn't right, but it sounds like it is going to be OK. BTW what is your OAL on the 168s? |

| how does it shoot with ammo loaded to fit the magizine? i cannot reach the lands with 168s in my PSS but it still shoots sub 1/2moa 5shots out to 500yds. that is as far as i've shot it. 175s will reach but lands but i cannot get them to shoot better than 3/4moa. |

Exactly.
Try it out as-is, you may be surprised.
And OutlawMk26, your 168 vs 175 experience is the same as mine. Everybody told me I was crazy for not shooting 175's, but they just don't shoot as well as 168's, out of my rifle. |
