Can I ream a Runger p9 carbine barrel out to 357 Sig and drop it into a P4 carbine using the p4 bolt assembly and other 40 cal parts? | ||

Not sure what you mean by "throw". The cases and the COLs are pretty much the same so the bolt travel is OK. When you drop a 357 SIG bbl into a 40 pistol the springs are unchanged. | |||

I asked the question at the Ruger forum a long time ago and there were people who cried "NO!" and claimed stuff like the recoil "impulse" was different and such. I think you might have to work with the recoil springs to get things just right, but that would be if it were a pure blowback action.... All that's gold does not glitter.
