Yep, a nice one. Right caliber too. Since it's the earlier round top version, I suppose someone will want to drill & tap it. Confused

Forrest,
My birthday is in August. That should give you plenty of time tohave it shipped to me by then. It would be perfect for our mulie hunt in OCT.

Here's one in 8x57 with claw mounts.
22F Auction
The 7x57 must have been sold. They have taken down the pictures.

Thats too high for a 8x57, they go for about $900. the 7x57s are however beginning to bring that kind of money...

I'm not sure where PRK is (Peoples Republic of California?) but you can come up to the Puyallup WA. Gunshow and see 4-5 21 and 22s from US$500-900 every month. If you want to travel farther go to the Canadian gunshows and they will be the same price in Can dollars.

There are lots of BRNO in Canada as they were never illegal to import there as they were here.

One of my goals with my stint here in Calgary is to pick one of these up. I passed on a pretty nice 7x57 last weekend at a local show, The guy was asking $700 CDN, There are many up here.

I have bought a couple of these Brnos in the last year. Before I read about them here I had never heard of the model.

This is just gun fun for me. I have some old rifles that suit all my hunting and target shooting but buying others just extends the enjoyment.

While the 21h and 22f's are as cute as a button they have some features that make them hard to get used to for me anyway. The primary one is that the drop at the comb on these rifles is for iron sights. I know that others can shoot them well with a scope but after a year of practice I still have an uneasy feeling from field positions.

The other take back feature is the hard to operate and noisy safety that does not even lock the bolt.

On the postive side the rifles are very thin and this makes them easy to carry. Also most of them have carbine barrels which is all that I need in the woods.

In general the workmanship is outstanding as well.

My gunsmith has had my 22f longer than I have. Everytime I go there he takes it out and works the action and runs his fingers over it and says "These are very nice actions". I have not given up trying to get my gun back. Perhaps I am going to have to buy another one for him! Wink

Here is a pic of the 21h that I got on an auction last year. This cost me $630 and as you can see the double triggers are gone and it has an old pad on it too so it's not original at all.

A friend borrowed this rifle last fall for deer hunting and he liked it very much. Another AR member handled this old gun at the range and did not want to give it back. I like it but I have not got that worked up over it yet.
