And dissolve plastic stocks depending on the plastic type. Try some alcohol on it and see if that helps. If not, some talc will help temporarily.

| A little more on line looking and there is lots of this happening with plastic stocks. Browning has lots of issues. Didnt try acetone as several sites suggested it will melt some stocks. Tried alcohol and several other solvents. Non really worked effectively. The I tried a can of non chlorinated brake cleaner. dampen a lint free rag and rub. Way less effort than anything else I tried. Just dont forget to re oil all metal parts. Several sites suggested once you get the sticky crap off give the stock a few coats of spray laquer . | Mine had a Dura Grip coating [rubber] on the stock. It was all tacky, after trying all kinds of solvents, Hoppes took it off the best, with a little elbow grease. Then wiped it down with alcohol. Paul
