I have a ruger 300 mag and I want to swap barrels to a Ruger factory 338 win mag, I have a Midway barrel vise and a action wrench for a Rem 700. I don't see any action wrenches specifically for the Ruger 77? what do you guys use for Rugers?

You will still need to headspace the 338 & time the barrel TDC.

Try to look unimportant. Your enemy might be low on ammo.

Dammit Wespac, I was gonna post my 15" crescent but was too embarrased to do so. Now I feel better. I also use it on the Ruger #1's and the flat top Sako.

Top dead center. If it it has sights or if you want the writting on the barrel to be the same as it was originaly the barrel needs to be times to top dead center.

I was going to suggest just a machine vice or yeah a big enough wrench. That damn action has hug flats on each side what else to you want??
Just pad the jaws as Westpac has shown. tighten the wrench up so there is little slip and go for it.
And it is just a Ruger

it is.. someone else's gun, and if you accept the work on it, then you should treat it with the best of your abilities..

as for just a ruger.. how many post-64/non classic POS winchesters get rebarreled?

howas? heck, my many different brands is howa sold under...

remington? but they have dangerous triggers AND the bolt handles fall of...

"just a ruger" that has a 3 position safety, dual square bridges, CRF AND feeds as push feed, and qd/rtz rings ...

oh, wait.. i get it.. about the only thing they need is bedding and a trigger...
