I was looking at the CZ site and was interested in the big bores. I noticed a big difference in the American model stock and the European style stock. What is the technical reason for the different styles? In another way, what is the function difference?

Dwight, the euro is called the "hogback"... it is designed for more upright shooting, and iron sights... the american is for the normal american lower head position (tilted forward) and for scopes. and the america has less felt recoil, imnsho jeffe opinions vary band of bubbas and STC hunting Club Information on Ammoguide about the416AR, 458AR, 470AR, 500AR What is an AR round? Jeffe, Thank you very much for your very clear explanation. I can see what you mean as far as lining up with iron sights better with the hogback. Makes sense with a little explanation.
