I talked to Dennis today who said that AR and other internet sites, have caused his workload to get out of hand. Just in the last year, he said he has gotten in 300 rifles, many with feeding problems, to be repaired. Consequently, he is more than a year behind, even on relatively simple repairs.

In my case, he got my rifle last November and has yet not had a chance to look at it.

He says he appreciates the strong recommendations, but says all the prublicity is too much of a good thing.

Just passing this along. If you are in a hurry, you might need to look somewhere else for repairs.

That's good to hear as I sent him an email and haven't received a reply. I'm assuming he's busy as hell.

His work for me has been excellent.

He should consider raising his rates. That will help some.

Good on Dennis! Having previously spent a fair amount of time in a production based job I'll say that this is a hell of a predicament have. And it sure beats the hell out of wondering where the next job's coming from too. I'm glad for him.

I too am glad to hear this. I sent him a Model 70 for feed work in August 2005 and was told the job would take six weeks. So much for that!

Dennis must be getting up there in years...I saw an ad of his in an old 1990 "Rifle" magazine that stated he has been building fine custom rifles for 29 years...that was in 1990...hmmm.
Best Regards,
Tom

I sent him 2 guns in 2002 and he still has not finished. I would say that he is more than a year behind.
