What is the difference between FN military and commercial other than the handle and better finishing?

I have a couple of unfinished, unheat treated FN commercial receivers.
They have the H cut collar and the stripper clip hump, w/o the stripper clip cut.
I suspect FN used the same military forging dies, same machines, same setups, but broached both lugways and simply milled off the hump and left out the thumbcut.

If that assumption is true, maybe they did the same with the bolts.

Any opinions?

thanks Doug

Hinged at the top; should not even be a question.
As for FN bolt handles; you can't take a Military handle, either straight or turned down, and forge it to make the FN commercial version of it. Not long enough.

Yes, that would explain why FN welded the commercial swept back version on, because they were basically altered military bolts.
