Matt, I've bought some reasonably price brass in 7.5 Swiss, and a set of Lee Dies was less than 20 bucks. SportsmansGuide list the new Hornady ammo in the caliber. I would just load for it in the 7.5 and enjoy it as is. There are several good refereces on the net about loading for it.........DJ

Quote: Can a Swiss K31 (in otherwise good condition) be rechambered to .308 without a ton of machine work (i.e. expense)? Or is this akin to doing a rectal tosillectomy?
No. The 7.5 Schmidt-Rubin case is bigger AROUND as well as longer than the .308 case. As the Dutchman said, "you can't cut it off a little longer." It'd take a new barrel to convert the K31 - but it would be a good conversion.
