I have an oppertunity to but a few of these. What are they and where are they from? They have a notch to except the lager 30-06 through the stripper clip and have no real markings other than small letter c and a m or a w on the bottom. The barrel has a Belgium crest on it and they are 30-06. Anyone know anything about them? Thank you very much Joe.

I am tempted to make a poor pun, and say they are pretty cheesy (fromage is cheese in French), however, I'd guess that these may be some "re-cycled" mauser actions which started out being manufactured for the German war machine, but were converted after the war to use the 30-06 which was plentiful in post war Europe.
