Posting for D'Arcy:

Testing out a new Rust Bluing procedure, seems to work pretty rapidly. Yet another use of the pickup truck bed. The 1st carding is going to require some extra elbow grease.

If the pick-up bed is already rusty, is that better or worse? There is some perforation; better or worse? This is a Savage 110 barrel, I don't want to screw it up. Regards, Bill.

I was wondering if the plastic bed liner was a necessary part of the process. It would help retain water after a good rain.

Bob Emmons had a theory about rust bluing..."Rust is rust the metal don't care how it gets rusty"
