Can it be done with just a simple reamer job? I already have a bolt, mag etc worked out, just curious about the chambering. it will not be of much benefit if you have a twist slower than 1:12", IMHO. The benefit of the 358NM is use of heavier bullets at greater velocity. Rich Buff Killer | |||

Thanks guys, Reason I asked 1) I like the 35's. I just have no need for a whelen due to my likeing of my 9.3x62. 2) soon I will be reieving a magnum length mauser action and since I have the whelen bbl....... or plan B is to go ahead with the 458AR. I talked to my smith and hes familiar with the AR. He visits here but doesnt post. Joel, Go ahead and do the 470 AR like me. Everybody's got a 458, do the .470. Seriously I do like the Norma, but I told you my thing on the Whelen. This would be a tough one for me, but I've already decided on the 470AR. David | |||
