CZ front tie down screw

Gents:

would someone kindly explain this to me: in the link provided scroll down the side of the page and you will find a photo of a factory and a restocked CZ. What exactly is the front tie down screw I see on both rifles? I have seen previous posts where folks have them removed (not sure how that works when using the factory barrel) and some leave them (see pic).

CZs have a screw that anchors the barrel recoil lug to the stock via this screw. The barrel lug has a sliding plate in the base of it to which the screw anchors.

its a third tiedown to help with keeping the stock together. keep it and keep it tight.
