| With a short barrel, you may be better off with a 6mm PPC (as compared to a .243 WSSM). There's no reason as to why the PPC wouldn't be good on varmits. Lee Martin www.singleactions.com |

| ON an impulse bought a 6PPC Krieger SS fluted 22 inch 14 twist barrel to put onto a Sako action. Looking at 6mm/223 same as 6X45, 6mmX222 same as 6X47, and someone said look at 243WSSM, which would take another action. What can I just do with the 6ppc for varmints? I am knot a benchrester, just looking for a light kicking varmint plinker and occasional coyote rifle. I also have a 6X284 so dont need another hot round.
Oh, the barrel is turned for a Farley action, so may be 20 inches after lop and chop for rechamber unless I can turn down outside and rechamber inside without losing length.
appreciate input. |
