What jeffeosso says is mostly true. The Weatherby, of course has a belt and radiused shoulders and might have somewhat less taper to the case. I would think that if this is what you really wanted, it would be somewhat more efficient than the Weatherby as it is overbore to begin with. The Weatherby would also be a lot cheaper.

The 375 Ultra loaded with Rl-25 pretty much matches the ballistics of what your looking for.

If you want that "special toy" bad enough and don't mind a sustantial amount of time and money spent...By all means!

Add the Weatherby has stronger brass as well!

sorry, but rum case is not even close. the weatherby (thereby the 375/416 rigby inproved) is 22 grains more capacity, or nearly 19% more.

The 375 RUM is a "375/404 improved" not a rigby.
