Look at this Austrian mauser over at Cabelas website: http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/content/community/gun...25792029_brov375.jsp The picture in the lower left - the wrist checkering. The "checkering" looks like little spades. How is this done? Are they glued on? Are they actually carved?? | ||

Very carefully? It doesn't look like anything really that much different than what they do on the front and back straps of 1911's etc. Wood might be a little less forgiving though. ![]() | |||
