A 2 piece is what he is looking for. He is a varmint hunter and his wife bought him a pretty damn nice night vision scope for it. Malm, what brand is that? Mr Bennett, I also suggested that he check with Burris. Butch

It's a steel blank that I had to machine to fit. http://www.brownells.com/.aspx...PICATINNY_BASE_STOCK _______________________________________________________________________________ This is my rifle, there are many like it but this one is mine. My rifle is my best friend, it is my life.

When you are looking be sure to get the measurements off the base of the NV scope, I had to widen one slot slightly to get a fit on the rail, which may or may not be cosmetically acceptable to the gun owner or it can be refinished before it is initially mounted. for every hour in front of the computer you should have 3 hours outside

Mark, He has a nice Ruger as Rugers go, but it is a tool to him. Butch

Butch, Just mentioning it as an issue that has cropped up for me on 2 separate rifles, with 2 separate NV scopes. One was a ruger 77/22 mag where I put a B-Square rail on, which stated it was a weaver style but at the time we'd thought since it had a bunch of slots it would fit up to a picatinney mount, which turned out to be off by 1/8" or so. Anyway, when I built my coyote rifle I made sure the rail I got for the 700 action was labeled Picatinney and lo and behold, I had the same darn problem. Again, nothing that couldn't be fixed in a couple minutes with a file and it is not visible when the NV is mounted but if someone were picky it is noticeable with a different scope mounted and someone is looking for it. OTOH it would be darn near invisible to someone squinting so as not to have to look at a canoe paddle stock unnecessarily. for every hour in front of the computer you should have 3 hours outside
