What is the best source for a counter bore for pillar bedding Remingtom and Winchester actions? I tried a 9/16 drill and would prefer a piloted counterbore. I checked Brownells and thought that they were a bit pricy Anybody have one they want to sell? NRA Life Member NRA Charter Member Golden Eagles

Check the yellow pages for "tool and cutter grinding" and have them take a drill bit and grind a pilot on it. Jim Kobe 10841 Oxborough Ave So Bloomington MN 55437 952.884.6031 Professional member American Custom Gunmakers Guild

But be VERY careful and drill from both sides so it don't chip out on you. Don't use a hand power drill either, put it in a drill press and go slow, if you must. Jim Kobe 10841 Oxborough Ave So Bloomington MN 55437 952.884.6031 Professional member American Custom Gunmakers Guild
