I call this a lucky $300 gunshow find. I took it to David's when I picked up my Lott. He said with a little work it could look a little nicer. It is chambered in 284. David said the metal work was good and it feeds like nobodies business. A rust blue took care of the metal, but it took a lot of carving to get the present shape. We lost the white line spacers, rosewood grip cap, and foreend piece. He also replaced the butt pad. The checkering needed a touchup. I wish that I knew who originally built it as it was done nicely for the time period. Butch | |||

That ain't no $300 rifle any more! Nice improvements, especially the stock. While you can tell by looking at the grain/figure, etc, it looks like a whole 'nother rifle now! | |||
