Has anyone here ever opened up the action and magazine on a Remington Model Seven to fit the 7x57 Mauser, or seen/had it done?

If you are going to carry a big stick, you've got to whack someone with it at least every once in while.

Use a long action please. Rem short actions are not fully suitable for 7x57.

I’m not looking to have the work done, but I’m looking at one that might have been.

Let's put it this way; the mag box is 2.85 long. The guard screw is right up against the box. How many 7mm loads are that short? For me, the best ones are much longer than that. So, could you do it? Yes.
Would I? No. You have to keep your ammo very short. Why not go with a 7-08? Or a long action.
