Frank BellerWhat size action for a 9X64 Brenneke ?
What size action can I use to build a 9X64 Brenneke ? I think it will fit on a standard length FN action, but is that the ideal size ?

Fal GruntI've been re-chambering and modifying a Husky 9.3 to 9.3x64. Works so far. Now if only the original barrel had not been screwed up so bad...

I buy Mauser actions, parts, micrometers, tools, calipers, etc. Specifically looking for pre-WWII Mauser tools.

I've done several using Mk X actions, FN's, a Husqvarna M146, and Milsurp 98's. No problems with any.

lawndartAsk your 'smith to pay attention to magazine box width at the cartridge shoulder location. The metal can get mighty thin while chasing the correct internal box width.
z1r recently did some nice work on my Mark X. Mark Stratton had started the project; I will have James Anderson finish up the magazine box; I guess I will do the wood.
Outstanding cartridge!
