The forward edge of the cocking piece ( the edge that the safety lever cams rearward is in a different position in relation to the cocking piece sear than that of a normal 98 cocking piece. | ||

I think it can. It was the PME 2 position that didn't work, in my case. I was told by the smith that any of the 3 position safeties should work with a speedlock bolt. In my case, I have a FN left side safety that I want to try out. Good luck. Bob | |||

Thanks for the replys. Doug, That sounds like there is too much metal to grind away or the angle is too acute for the safety lever to cam back ? Otherwise not doable? Bob | |||
