how's the MRC action for building a custom?
would like to build a custom big bore 416 rem would the MRC be a suitable action for this project?

Absolutely.....mine also feeds the 404 Jeffery round and this is possibly the least pain method to build a 416 Rem. Just add a stock, barrel and a bit of polish and you have a very nice custom.
