My uncle asked me to replace the trigger on his 1960s vintage Savage 110. I was going to order a Timney from Brownells, then I noticed that the Midway site showed the Timney only fitting 1977 and later 110s. Then I noticed that Rifle Basics shows their trigger fitting all Savage 110s. I called Timney to inquire if it might be possible to retrofit their trigger to a pre 1977 rifle. The tech guy said that he had heard of it being done, but he didn't know what exactly had to be done. I would like to know if any of you has used a Timney on pre 1977 110, and what was required. No experience with the Timneys but sharp shooter supply makes a nice trigger for Savages.
