I have question for all of you.. Im buying a new rifle, wich will be a stainless one, and yes, I intend to keep it that way. But, Im going to order either a mcmillan or Rimrock stock for this, and Im wonderin what colors looks best on a stainless rifle?

The rifle wont be completly shiny, but beadblasted to some degree.. im thinking of white-ish color, but that might stand out to much?

Suggestions, pictures, links.. all helpfull!

I have always liked an olive color. They seem to look good on a rifle.

We're going to be "gifted" with a health care plan we are forced to purchase and fined if we don't, Which purportedly covers at least ten million more people, without adding a single new doctor, but provides for 16,000 new IRS agents, written by a committee whose chairman says he doesn't understand it, passed by a Congress that didn't read it but exempted themselves from it, and signed by a President, with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes, for which we'll be taxed for four years before any benefits take effect, by a government which has already bankrupted Social Security and Medicare, all to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese, and financed by a country that's broke!!!!! olive, tan, "mushroom" (kind of green deisel in muddy water looking)

most animals see in black and white.. with a radiance in UV...

a glacier white stock, with zero UV reflection, is far more "camoed" than 100% UV camo pattern

Nortman, I have several McMillans with the marbled pattern that are something like a 40% black 30% grey and 30% white. This is obviously a greyish pattern, I have a few where I went with blue instead of grey, and all of these look really good with stainless action & barrel.

Obviously personal taste prevails, but colors that go well with the stainless in your view blended with a base color that works well with these colors seem to make a good looking combo, and you are almost limitless with your choices on a Mc.

I'll try and post a few pics

Good Luck--Don

I am stuck in a rut. I just use the olive McMillan stocks (painted).

For desert ops a nice tan works well:
