fishing hey guys took apart a Marlin 60 22 long semi to be cleaned put it all back together can not get the triger to in gage after i push the release triger will then ingage does anyone have any ideals thanks and happy new years

Are you one of the original Hatfields?

How far did you take it apart? What do you mean you can not get the triger to ingage? Do you have any pictures?

good morning sir you pull the hammer back and their is a little flat piece that hangs out on the left front of the triger push it and it closes the hammer I was just calling it a release.

That is what it's suppose to do. That little part is the sear. You pull the bolt handle back to cock the hammer and you push the sear forward to release it and that fires the gun. When the barreled action is in the stock the trigger is supposed to line up with that little flat piece so that when you pull on the trigger, it releases the hammer and the gun fires. Unless the safety is on, or, the trigger itself is broken.

So what part of this is it not doing?

Hey Wespack took it all back apart redone it and guss just was not holding my mouth right works great thanks for all your help and have a great day some time you just need to go back and stsrt over HA!!!!!!!!!!!!
