I got word today about Mike, apparently the cancer has returned and he is still very exhausted from the first go around. Other health issues are dragging him down as well. I know he would appreciate any and all prayers. Earl.

Mike sold his business and has family packing up customer’s wood for return. This is a huge loss for the gunmaking industry. It will be darn near impossible to find anyone who can do Mikes quality of work for a decent rate.
I’ve dealt with Mike for a long time now and he did a lot to encourage me over the years, he sure is one of the best. Earl.

I really hate to hear this. I spoke with Mike a couple years back about some project ideas. The blanks are still in the closet and I'm kicking my procrastinating butt.

The real focus must be on Mike, his health and family. I wish him all the best as he faces and overcomes this challenge.

A friend passing is tough news to bear.

The loss of a skilled craftsman that has made a mark on the world is just as tough on the community that he has provided for.

God Speed Mike, you sacrificed so others could enjoy the ownership of your artisan products!

This tough old guy has a few tears in his eyes!

I share the opinions above. A call for a project always took a back seat to a nice conversation. His good nature was genuine and rare.

That is indeed sad news to hear. Mike was always there to explain and to advise. This world misses Michael Kokolus already. Gone but not forgotten. God speed Mike!
