I would like to know what others think of the Charles Daly Mausers quality. I have two of the actions, and considering having something built using them. I just want to be sure they are worth the effort and cost, or should I get rid of them.

Thanks,

I've owned several of them.....One I turned into a .257 Weatherby and two others were turned into .25-06 riflesand I wasn't complaining about any of them.

There were a few minor issues I had to fix and it was irritating as I expected them to be better but in the net result they were well worth the asking price.

I can't get by the Remington offering of the same barreled action as the price went way up and the fit of the wood is atrocious.....screw em!

Let me correct myself here, the bad CD actions I encountered were not actually worse, they were just as bad. Measuring up to .003" off across the boltface.

I picked up a CD rifle in 06 and ended up getting a set of wendage adjustable set of scope rings in order to sight it in, couldn't move far enough to the right.
