I have a ruger m77 in 308 with a 16in barrel, I recently came across a 20in barrel also in 308. I would like to have the 20in barrel installed. Can you reccomend a competent gunsmith to do this for me...and any idea on cost. shipment is not a problem finding a gunsmith in California is.

If it is a barrel swap and headspace, I would send it to Mark Skaggs. He does very nice work at a reasonable price, for this type of work.
