I have a used Marlin Camp Carbine. It has obviously been fired before. I don't have the skills to take the action apart. Do any of the spray action cleaners work? Hunt1

Yep, and brake cleaner is cheaper and the same stuff........... ------------------------------------ The trouble with the Internet is that it's replacing masturbation as a leisure activity. ~Patrick Murray "Why shouldn`t truth be stranger then fiction? They seem to do a decent job at getting out grease/oil/loose material. They are no substitute for a bore cleaner, and are not as good as a disassembly cleaning, but they are decent. I carry a can in the field, especially when bird hunting, in case I (or a buddy more likely, I clean mine a lot more) have a sticky action from gunk buildup. Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.

Wal-Mart Carb cleaner is great at $1.19 Remember, forgivness is easier to get than permission.

Yes, it is - better than that gun scrubber stuff for $8.00/can... however... be careful with getting it on the stock. I've seen it discolor the finish on some of mine.
