"Blackburn Bottom Metal"

You must have had that sitting around for the last 5 years or so. Before I sold my Mex action I tried to get a Blackburn Bottom metal for it and it turned out to be impossible!!!!

Butch --

That is one awesome rig-a-toni Smiler You really did your homework and the results speak for themselves. I've been wanting to build a lightweight Mexican for my daughter. This gun has really made me a believer. Thanks for sharing those photos.

What a great looking rifle with a fantastic piece of wood.

Thanks for posting your photos. That rifle is a real inspiration.

What happened to the pics?
Yea I know an old thread, but I am sitting on an oil-rig outside of the Norwegian shore, waiting for our guns to come in position in the well, and am surfing for gun porn......

David does excellent work and is one of the finest fellows I know, an honest & morally upright man and expert craftsman. His tack-&-wait-&-tack-again welding method is SOP with professional welding experts when welding assemblies requiring special care; I speak from 25 years experience in the nuclear construction business, observing some REALLY expert nuclear-certified welders at work. I would have no hesitation whatever in using one of David's square-bridge alterations (if I could afford one!) in any application for which the pre-square-bridge was considered suitable.
Regards, Joe
