I want to install a couple of additional crossbolts on my CZ 458. I know how to do it but need a source for the counterbore bit to drill the flat-bottomed hole that the crossbolt head fits into. I have CZ factory cross bolts with a head diameter of 0.40". Thanks for your help.

.40" is very close to 7/16". Get a 7/16" Forstner bit, they cut a nice flat bottomed hole. Or maybe a 7/16" end mill. You can get the Forstner bit from Amazon.com by the way.

Brownells sells the drill and counter bore. Don't bother buying the jig, it's WAY too small for a CZ stock

The CZ crossbolts use a 10mm forstner bit, you can get them from
www.traditionalwoodworking.com, they cost about $10 plus shipping.
