I will be converting a Rem. 700 ADL to a BDL. Will the ADL mag box, follower, and spring work with the new bottom metal? Thanks. | ||

The follower and spring will work just fine, but the mag box will need to have couple of millimeters removed from it. | |||

I would recommend replacing the mag box. If you insist on trimming the ADL box to fit, make a mark .275 up from the bottom of the box at the rear, and a mark .100 at the front. Draw a straight line between these two marks and remove everything below the line. Or, for those who wish to get technical, remove everything that doesn't look like a BDL box.  | |||
